GCU’s Witherill, HPU’s Hopkins on PacWest Magazine Radio @ www.KQCKLive.com

Mana Hopkins SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. – Grand Canyon University senior guard Nick Witherill (Phoenix, AZ/Highland) and Hawai‘i Pacific senior forward Mana Hopkins (Kona, HI/Konawaena) will join the PacWest Magazine Radio Show this Thursday, Dec. 1, live on www.KQCKLive.com in San Tan Valley, Ariz.

Tom Di Camillo, assistant commissioner for media relations, will host the 30-minute program that airs every Thursday. Both the audio and the high definition streaming video will air live from the KQCK studios over the Internet beginning at 12 p.m. MST, 11 a.m. PST, and 9 a.m. HT.

Witherill, the PacWest Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, led the Antelopes to a 2-0 record that included a 67-58 victory over #22 Seattle Pacific on Nov. 25. The Falcons entered the game unbeaten.

Nick Witherill Witherill was outstanding from the line, shooting 81.8% after making 18 of 22 free throw attempts.

He averaged 15.5 points, 2.5 steals and 4.5 assists per game, tying for third in steal average, ranking fourth in assist average, and tying for sixth in scoring for the week in the PacWest.

He also led the conference in assist/turnover ratio (4.5) for the week.

Hopkins, the PacWest Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, led the Sea Warriors to a 1-1 record by averaging 22.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

She led the PacWest in scoring, ranked second in rebounding, and was fifth in shooting for the week.

She also connected on 67.9% of her field goal attempts, making 19 of 28 shots from the floor.
