Women’s Cross Country Runners of the Week – Sept. 30

IRVINE, Calif. – This week’s PacWest Women’s Cross Country Runners of the Week are Azusa Pacific’s Staci Foster and Academy of Art’s McKaela Christenson. The awards are based on races held Sept. 22-28.
 
Runner of the Week – Staci Foster (APU)
Sr., Anaheim Hills, Calif./Orange Lutheran
 
Foster had another impressive showing against big competition at the Stanford Invitational. She was the top non-DI finisher, placing 22nd overall in a time of 21:38. She was just over a minute behind the race winner. The Cougars placed seventh in the non-Division I standings.
 
Freshman of the Week – McKaela Christenson (Academy of Art)
Fr.-RS, Baraboo, Wisc./Baraboo
 
Christenson was close behind Foster as the third non-DI runner to cross the finish line at the Stanford Invitational. She came in 35th place overall with a time of 22:02 in her first collegiate 6k race. ART U finished in eighth place behind APU.
