Inouye, HPU tame Wildcats of Chico State 11-3

COMPTON, CA - The Sea Warriors of Hawai'i Pacific University grabbed their first ever program win in the NCAA post season by defeating Chico State 11-3 on Friday, May 14, in day two of the NCAA II West Region Tournament.

The victory sends the Sea Warriors to a battle against host Cal State Dominguiz Hills on Saturday, while the loss by Chico ends the Wildcats’ season.

Toby Inouye hurled a complete-game, eight-hit effort for HPU, fanning three batters to grab his eighth victory of the season.
