Justin Winters PHOENIX, AZ - Hawai‘i Pacific junior IF Justin Winters (Cave Creek, AZ/Pinnacle) and Hawai‘i Hilo senior Tyler Simao (Makakilo, HI/Hanalani) have been named the PacWest Player, Pitcher of the Week.

(May 7, 2012) - Player of the Week (April 30-May 6)...Justin Winters - Hawai‘i Pacific (Jr., 6-0, 195, IF, R/R, Cave Creek, AZ/Pinnacle)...led Sea Warriors to a 4-0 week by hitting .714 in four starts...went 10 for 14 with five runs, three doubles, a triple, four walks and 10 RBI...posted a 1.071 slugging rate and a .778 on-base mark.

(May 7, 2012) - Pitcher of the Week (April 30-May 6)...Tyler Simao - Hawai‘i Hilo (Sr., 6-1, 180, Makakilo, HI/Hanalani)...tossed nine-inning, complete-game, six-hit shutout vs. Art U on May 1...Vulcans won game 4-0...opponents hit .188...struck out eight, walked three and allowed no extra-base hits.

Joe Andrade John Albert - Hawai‘i Pacific (Fr., 6-2, 195, P, R/R, Bellingham, WA/Home Schooled)...tossed a complete-game, 5-2 win vs. Art U on May 4...struck out seven, allowed one earned run and permitted four hits over seven innings of action...allowed a .167 batting average...did not yield a walk nor an extra-base hit...had a 1.29 ERA.

Blake Amaral - Hawai‘i Pacific (Sr., 6-1, 220, IF, R/R, Hilo, HI/Kamehameha-Big Island)...hit .538 in four starts during a 4-0 series sweep of Art U...was 7 for 13 with five runs, a double, a triple and a home run...drove in six runs and walked three times...stole two bases and had a sacrifice fly...registered a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .588 on-base rate.

Daniel Zapata - Dixie State (Sr., 5-10, 175, OF, R/R, Mesa, AZ/Westwood)...recorded two saves in final two games of the season for the Red Storm...struck out two batters over 2.0 innings of work...recorded a save in 8-7 win vs. Cal State Los Angeles on May 5...earned another in 5-4 win vs. CSLA on May 6.
