Dixie State's Tyson Littlewood, HPU's Taylor Hill earn PacWest Player, Pitcher weekly honors
PHOENIX, AZ - Dixie State's Tyson Littlewood and
Hawai‘i Pacific's Taylor Hill earn the
Pacific West Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week awards,
respectively.
The PacWest announced the awards on April 25 from its office in Phoenix, AZ, for games contested April 18-24.

2011) - Player of the Week (April 18-24)...Tyson
Littlew
ood - Dixie State (Jr., 6-0, 190, IF, R/R, St. George,
UT/Pine View)...led Dixie State to the PacWest
Championship as Red Storm took 3 of 4 from Grand Canyon...hit .600
in four starts, going 9 for 15 with four runs, one double and three
homers...drove in nine runs and walked once...hit a sacrifice fly
and stole a base...posted a .588 on-base mark and a 1.267 slugging
rate.
(April 25, 2011) - Pitcher of the Week (April 18-24)...Taylor Hill - Hawai‘i Pacific (Jr., 5-9, 175, P, R/R, Sherwood, OR/Sherwood)...tossed a seven-inning, complete-game shutout victory vs. Hawai‘i Hilo on April 24...struck out seven and walked one batter while scattering four hits...opponents managed to hit just .160 in the contest.

Joe Andrade - Dixie State (Jr., 5-11, 175, C, L/R, Yuma, AZ/San
Luis)...led the Red Storm to a 3-1 week by hitting
.429 in four starts...was 6 for 14 with a run, three doubles and
four RBI...walked once and had a .643 slugging rate...recorded a
.467 on-base mark.
Jordon Blanchard - Dixie State (Jr., 6-1, 185, P, R/R, Henderson, NV/Coronado)...tossed a seven-inning, complete-game win vs. Grand Canyon on April 21...Red Storm won the game 6-1...allowed one earned run on three base hits while striking out five...opponents hit .136...walked just two batters.
Mike Dedrick - Dixie State (So., 6-3, 200, P, R/R, Cedar City, UT/Canyon View)...threw 7.0 innings to earn 6-2 win vs. Grand Canyon on April 21...struck out six and allowed two earned runs while scattering six base hits...had a 2.57 ERA for the week.
R.J. Etchebarren - Grand Canyon (Sr., 6-1, 195, OF, R/R, Phoenix, AZ/Paradise Valley)...batted .412 in four starts during a 1-3 trip to Dixie State...was 7 for 17 at the plate...scored one run, ripped two doubles, and produced one RBI...walked once...had a .529 slugging rate and a .444 on-base mark.
Kekoa Lee - Hawai‘i Hilo (Sr., 5-9, 185, P/OF, L/L, Waipahu, HI/Moanalua)...hit .333 in five starts for the Vulcans...went 7 for 21 with two runs scored, four doubles and six RBI...walked twice...had a .524 slugging percentage and a .391 on-base mark.
Keoni Manago - Hawai‘i Hilo (Sr., 5-9, 180, OF, R/R,
Honolulu, HI/Roosevelt)...hit .429 in five starts for
the Vulcans...went 9 for 21 with five runs, one double, one RBI and
three walks...had a .476 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base
mark.
Chris Pascual - Hawai‘i Hilo (So., 5-10, 175, P, L/L, Kapolei, HI/Kamehameha-Kapalama)...tossed 9.2 innings in two appearances and one start...recorded a 1.86 ERA...struck out eight, walked five and allowed just two earned runs and four base hits...opponents hit .133...struck out three over 2.0 innings vs. HPU on April 22 to earn a save...tossed 7.2 innings vs. HPU on April 24 in 3-2 loss...earned a no decision in the contest after giving up two runs and striking out five hitters.
Bryan Patterson - Hawai‘i Hilo (Sr., 5-11, 185, IF, R/R,
Hilo, HI/Hilo)...hit .391 in six starts for the
Vulcans during a 2-4 week...went 9 for 23 with three runs scored,
seven RBI and one double...walked three times...had a .435 slugging
mark and a .462 on-base rate.
Brent Queen - Hawai‘i Pacific (So., 6-2, 195, P, R/R, Manassas, VA/Stonewall Jackson)...had a nine-inning, complete-game victory vs. Hawai‘i Hilo on April 23...struck out six, scattered nine hits and allowed just four earned runs in the win...walked three batters in the contest...posted a 4.00 ERA in the victory.
Colton Yack - Dixie State (So., 5-11, 175, IF, L/R, South Jordan, UT/Bingham)...hit .500 for Red Storm during 3-1 series win vs. Grand Canyon...went 5 for 10 with two runs scored and a double...stole a base...posted a .600 slugging rate and a .500 on-base average.
