Chaminade, BYU-Hawaii & Dixie State ranked amongst Top 10 in NCAA II West Region Poll
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – For the first time in the
history of the Pacific West Conference, three PacWest teams have
landed in the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball West Region
Poll.
Chaminade (9-3/9-2 In-Region) stands fifth in the Top 10 regional ranking – first among PacWest teams – while BYU-Hawaii (9-2/7-2) stands eighth and Dixie State (8-4/8-3).
The Division II men’s basketball committee in Indianapolis
released the rankings on Wednesday, Jan. 26. The Top 10 teams in
each region are listed for the eight regions.
The regional rankings will be released weekly on Wednesdays through March 2 leading up to the 64-team NCAA II selection show on March 6.
On Thursday evening, Jan. 27, eight of the nine PacWest teams were
in action, including Chaminade that suffered a loss at the hands of
Grand Canyon, and BYU-Hawaii that beat Dixie State.
Thursday’s results will be reflected in the Feb. 2 regional
ranking.
