Dominican junior center Jacob Noisat named PacWest Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

Jacob Noisat PHOENIX, AZ - Dominican University of California junior center Jacob Noisat (Santa Rosa, CA/Elsie Allen) has been selected the Pacific West Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Dec. 5, for games contested Nov. 30 - Dec. 4.

Noisat led the Penguins to their first victory of the season - a 92-80 win over Holy Names on Dec. 3.

He recorded 19 points and eight rebounds while patrolling the paint.

Noisat also shot 72.7% from the floor after making 8 of 11 field goal attempts.

Matt Cousins Kyle Allen - Hawai‘i Pacific (Jr., 6-5, 230, F, Sacramento, CA/Muncie Central)...scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds in tough 75-71 loss vs. Chaminade on Dec. 4 in PacWest opener...shot 66.7% (6 for 9) from the floor...went 2 for 2 from the line.

Lee Bailey - Chaminade (Fr., 6-0, 180, G, Detroit, MI/Detroit Country Day)...helped Silverswords to victory in PacWest opener on Dec. 4 by scoring 22 points...Chaminade beat HPU 75-71...shot 52.9% (9 for 17) from the field...shot 60.0% (3 for 5) from three-point land...handed out eight assists and pulled down six rebounds...recorded three steals.

Waly Coulibaly - Chaminade (Jr., 6-3, 180, G, Bamako, Mali/Patterson Prep)...helped Silverswords to win in PacWest opener on Dec. 4 by scoring 15 points while making 6 of 8 attempts from the field (75.0%)...hit 2 of 3 (66.7%) three-point attempts...Chaminade beat HPU 75-71.

Blake Davis Matt Cousins - Chaminade (Sr., 6-8, 235, F/C, Santa Rosa, CA/Cardinal Newman)...led Silverswords to victory in PacWest opener on Dec. 4 by scoring 24 points...Chaminade beat HPU 75-71...shot 66.7% (8 for 12) from the floor and made 8 of 13 free throw attempts...also grabbed seven rebounds and had three assists.

Blake Davis - Grand Canyon (So., 6-6, 230, F, Phoenix, AZ/St. Mary’s)...scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds in GCU’s 76-66 victory on Dec. 3 vs. NDNU in the PacWest opener...shot 57.1% (4 for 7) from the floor  and 75.0% (3 for 4) from the line...also had three assists.

Andrew Fisk - California Baptist (Jr., 6-5, 215, F, Riverside, CA/Ramona)...led Lancers to a 54-49 win over Cal State San Marcos on Dec. 1 - CBU’s lone game of the week...pulled down 15 rebounds, scored eight points, handed out four assists and committed four steals.

Glenn Miller - Hawai‘i Pacific (Sr., 6-6, 195, F, Sacramento, CA/Foothill)...posted a double-double in a tough 75-71 loss vs. Chaminade on Dec. 4 in PacWest opener...scored 14 points and collected 11 rebounds off the bench in just 19 minutes...shot 62.5% (5 for 8) from the floor...made 4 of 6 free throw attempts (66.7%).

Andrew Fisk William Overton, Jr. - Academy of Art (So., 6-5, 195, G, Perth Amboy, NJ/Leuzinger)...averaged 11.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game despite a 0-2 week for the Urban Knights...also averaged 2.5 assists per contest.

Ameer Shamsud-din - Academy of Art (Jr., 6-2, 200, G, Portland, OR/Benson)...averaged 18.0 points, 3.0 assists and 2.5 three-pointers made per game despite a 0-2 week.

Kyle Speed - Grand Canyon (Sr., 6-1, 160, G, Seattle, WA/Lake Washington)...scored 15 points and handed out three assists in GCU’s 76-66 victory on Dec. 3 vs. NDNU in the PacWest opener...made 6 of 8 (75.0%) free throw attempts.
