Hawai‘i Hilo senior forward Zachary Wilde chosen PacWest Men’s Basketball Player of Week

PHOENIX, AZ - Hawai‘i Hilo senior forward Zachary Wilde (Snohomish, WA/Snohomish) has been chosen the Pacific West Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.

The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Dec. 30, for games played Dec. 19-25.

Wilde led the Vulcans to a 51-50 victory over Viterbo (WI) on Dec. 19 - the lone game of the week for Hawai‘i Hilo.

He scored 12 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in posting a double-double, while he shot 71.4% (5 for 7) from the floor. Wilde also handed out four assists in the contest.

Ronnie Hodge - Hawai‘i Pacific (Jr., 6-3, 200, G, Ft. Walton Beach, FL/Ft. Walton Beach)...scored nine points and recorded three rebounds in 57-45 victory over Bethany (KS) on Dec. 19 - lone game of the week for the Sea Warriors...shot 60.0% (3 for 5) from the floor...went 2 for 2 from the line...made 1 of 2 three-point attempts and blocked a shot.

Terrell Mack - Hawai‘i Hilo (Jr., 6-4, 175, G/F, Portland, OR/Fort Vancouver)...had 11 points in 51-50 win vs. Viterbo (WI) on Dec. 19 - the lone game of the week for the Vulcans...made 4 of 9 (44. 4%) field goal attempts, collected a pair of rebounds and handed out two assists...also had two steals and made a three-point attempt.

Michael Melonas - Hawai‘i Hilo (Jr., 6-6, 257, F, Ventura, CA/Ventura)...scored seven points, grabbed seven rebounds and blocked two shots in 51-50 win vs. Viterbo (WI) on Dec. 19 - the lone game of the week for the Vulcans...was perfect from the field (3 for 3).

Glenn Miller - Hawai‘i Pacific (Sr., 6-6, 195, F, Sacramento, CA/Foothill)...scored seven points and grabbed seven rebounds in 57-45 victory over Bethany (KS) on Dec. 19 - lone game of the week for the Sea Warriors...also had two blocked shots.
