Grand Canyon visits California Baptist Jan. 2 in PacWest Men's Basketball Game of the Week

Braylon Pickrel PHOENIX – The Grand Canyon men's basketball team places its 11-game winning steak and 3-0 Pacific West Conference mark on Wednesday evening, Jan. 2, when the Antelopes visit California Baptist in the PacWest Men's Basketball Game of the Week.

GCU is 12-2 overall and boasts a 10-0 home mark; however the Antelopes are 1-2 in neutral site games and have played at an opponent's arena just once this year – beating UC San Diego 65-52 on Nov. 17.

The Lancers are looking to take a huge early step toward first place in the standings as they put their 7-2 overall mark and 1-0 conference record to the test when the two teams tip off at 7:30 p.m. PST on Tuesday evening.

Joshua Lowery (photo) leads the Antelopes in scoring with his 13.1 points-per-game average, while Killiam Larson is contributing 11.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per outing. In conference contests, Larson is averaging a double-double with 10.0 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.

The Lancers have a potent offense with five players averaging double-figures. Anthony Consentino leads CBU in scoring with his 17.3 per-game average, while Luke Evans is scoring 14.8 points and pulling down 6.6 rebounds per game.

Andrew Fisk boasts 10.3 points and 7.9 rebounds per outing.
