Chaminade’s De'Andre Haskins named first PacWest Men’s Basketball Player of Week
PHOENIX, Ariz. – Chaminade senior forward De’Andre Haskins (Long Beach, CA/Jordan) has been selected the first Pacific West Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for 2012-13.
The conference announced the honor on Monday, Nov. 12, for games played Nov. 9-11.
Haskins led the Silverswords to a 2-0 week by averaging 21.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
He tied for second in scoring, tied for fourth in rebounding and tied for sixth in assist average for the week in the PacWest.
Haskins shot 51.7% (15 for 29) from the field and made 90.9% (10 for 11) of his free throw attempts.
He ranked seventh in foul shooting and 19th in field goal percentage for the week in the PacWest.

Lee Bailey (So., 6-0, 180, G, Detroit, MI/Detroit Country Day) – Chaminade – averaged 16.0 points, 2.0 steals and 2.5 assists per game during a 2-0 week for the Silverswords…tied for sixth in scoring for the week in the PacWest…ranked 10th in free throw shooting for the week after making 14 of 16 (87.5%) from the line…tied for second in steals per game for the week.
C.J. Brown (Sr., 6-1, 170, G, Sacramento, CA/Kennedy - left photo) – Hawai‘i Hilo - averaged 14.5 points and 2.0 three-pointers made per game in leading the Vulcans to a 1-1 week…tied for 12th in scoring and tied for sixth in three’s made per game in the PacWest for the week…ranked eighth in free throw shooting (90.0%) for the week…made 9 of 10 from the line…shot 50.0% (8 for 16) from the floor.
Jammall Clark (Sr., 6-6, 220, F, Redlands, CA/Redlands East Valley) – Dominican – scored 16 points while shooting 54.5% from the field in a 69-59 win over Cal State Stanislaus on Nov. 10 – lone game of the week for the Penguins…made 6 of 11 shots from the floor.
Micah Dunhour (So., 6-5, 190, G, Honolulu, HI/Academy of the Pacific) – Notre Dame de Namur – scored 20 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in lone game of the week – a 63-62 loss vs. Cal State East Bay on Nov. 11…went 6 for 8 (75.0%) from the line...also had two steals.
Dalton Groskreutz (Jr., 6-5, 195, F, Santa Clara, UT/Snow Canyon - right photo) – Dixie State – averaged 15.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for the Red Storm…tied for 10th in scoring and tied for fourth in rebounding for the week in the PacWest…went 4 for 4 from the line…shot 52.2% (12 for 23) from the line and averaged 1.5 steals per contest.
Killian Larson (Jr., 6-9, 270, C, Puyallup, WA/Puyallup) – Grand Canyon – averaged 12.7 points and 8.0 rebounds per game in a 1-2 week for the Antelopes…tied for sixth in rebounding for the week in the PacWest…shot 50.0% (15 for 30) from the field and was perfect from the line (4 for 4).
Troy Leaf (So., 6-3, 195, G, San Diego, CA/Foothills Christian) – Azusa Pacific – averaged 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game during a 1-1 week for the Cougars…tied for sixth in scoring for the week in the PacWest…led the PacWest in assist average…tied for fifth in steals per game.

Michael Melonas (Sr., 6-6, 255, F, Ventura, CA/Ventura) – Hawai‘i Hilo - averaged 13.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in leading the Vulcans to a 1-1 week…tied for 16th in scoring and tied for ninth in rebounding in the PacWest for the week…shot 68.8% (11 for 16) from the field to rank seventh for the week in the league…also averaged 1.0 blocks per game.
Jacob Noisat (Sr., 6-8, 225, C, Santa Rosa, CA/Elsie Allen - left photo) – Dominican – scored 15 points while shooting 62.5% from the field in a 69-59 win over Cal State Stanislaus on Nov. 10 – lone game of the week for the Penguins…made 5 of 8 shots from the floor….made 5 of 6 (83.3%) attempts from the line.
Kimball Payne (Jr., 6-0, 170, G, Alpine, UT/Lone Peak) – Dixie State – averaged 9.5 points and 6.0 assists per game in a 2-0 week for the Red Storm…ranked third in assist average for the week in the PacWest…ranked second in assist/turnover ratio (4.0) for the week.
B.J. Porter (Sr., 6-3, 190, G, Layton, UT/Layton Christian Academy) – Azusa Pacific – averaged 15.5 points while making 4.0 three-pointers per game in a 1-1 week for the Cougars…led the PacWest in three-pointers made per game in the PacWest…ranked ninth in scoring…also averaged 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per outing.
Ameer Shamsud-din (Sr., 6-2, 200, G, Portland, OR/Benson - right photo) - Academy of Art – averaged 21.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 three-pointers made and 3.0 assists per game despite a 0-2 week for the Urban Knights…tied for second in scoring, tied for sixth in assist average and tied for 17th in rebounding for the week in the PacWest…shot 57.1% (16 for 28) from the floor and 50.0% (5 for 10) from the line for the week…ranked 15th in shooting and tied for 11th in three-point shooting percentage for the week in the PacWest.
