Chaminade’s Haskins earns second PacWest Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award

De'Andre Haskins PHOENIX, Ariz. – Chaminade senior forward De'Andre Haskins (Long Beach, CA/Jordan) earned his second Pacific West Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week honor for 2012-13.

The conference announced the award on Monday, Nov. 26, for games played Nov. 19-25.

Haskins averaged 24.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game while shooting 54.8% (23 for 42) from the field against three Division I teams in the Maui Invitational – Texas, Illinois and North Carolina.

He scored 32 points as the Silverswords routed Texas 86-73 in the opening round of the Maui and led Chaminade to a fourth-place finish.

Haskins finished the week ranked second in the PacWest in scoring and tied for 17th in rebounding. He also ranked 11th in free throw shooting after making 94.4% (17 for 18) of his attempts from the line.

He drained 10 three-pointers during the three-day tournament, averaging 3.3 per contest to finish the week ranked third in the conference.
