Hawai‘i Hilo senior Neil Cabico chosen inaugural PacWest Men’s Golfer of the Week

PHOENIX, AZ - Hawai‘i Hilo senior Neil Cabico (Lanai City, HI/Lanai) has been chosen the Pacific West Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week.

The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Feb. 7, for events played Feb. 1-6.

Cabico finished tied for 28th out of a field of 114 golfers at The Amer Ari Invitational Feb. 2-4. The three-day, 54-hole event was played on the Par 72 Waikoloa Kings’ Course in Waikoloa, HI.

The event featured 20 teams - 18 NCAA Division I programs and the Division II Vulcans. Division II Western Washington also competed in the field.

Cabico finished with a three-round, three-under-par score of 213 after posting a 72 on the opening day, followed by a 70 on day two and a 71 during the final round.
