Grand Canyon senior Matt Pridey named Pacific West Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week
PHOENIX, AZ - Grand Canyon senior Matt Pridey
(Sioux Falls, SD/Washington) has been named the
Pacific West Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week.
The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, April 4, for events contested March 28 - April 3.
Pridey captured the Grand Canyon Thunderbird Invitational held March 28-29 in Goodyear, AZ, and led the Antelopes to a first-place team finish.
He beat teammate Jacob Golembiewski in a playoff after both GCU golfers finished the three-round tournament with three-under-par scores of 213.
Pridey opened up the tournament with a par 72 on the 7228-yard course before shooting a 70 during the second round.
He finished one under par on the final day of competition with a 71.
