Dixie State junior Kyle Chappell named PacWest Men’s Golfer of Week for third time in 2011
PHOENIX, AZ - Dixie State junior Kyle
Chappell (Richfield, UT/Richfield) has been named the
Pacific West Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for the
third time this season.
The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, April 18, for events contested April 11-17.
Chappell tied for 10th overall and finished first among both PacWest entries and Dixie State players at the 2011 Hanny Stanislaus Invitational hosted by Cal State Stanislaus in Turlock, CA, April 11-12.
He finished with a two-over-par 218 on the Par 72, 6,641-yard course after firing a 75 in the opening round and a 73 in the closing 18. He was two-under-par in round two after carding a 70.
