SIMPSONVILLE, KY – The Grand Canyon University men’s golf team is tied for 10^th after the opening round of the NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament.

The four-day event is being held May 15-19 at The Cardinal Club Golf Course in Simpsonville, KY.

The Antelopes have posted a four-over-par 292 team score and are being led by Ryan Mahoney who fired a one-under-par 71 to tie for 14^th overall.

GCU’s Tyler Wooldridge is tied for 23^rd after he unleashed a first-round even par score of 72, while Mark Geddes is tied for 47^th with a two-over-par 74.

Kyle Chappell, the individual representative from Dixie State, also is tied for 47^th after firing a 74.

Grand Canyon’s Brandon Moore and Marcus Synegal are tied for 60^th overall after each player posted a three-over-par 75.
