Franco Carotenuto wins PacWest honor again

QUEEN CREEK, AZ - Grand Canyon junior goalkeeper Franco Carotenuto (Scottsdale, AZ/Chaparral) posted three straight shutouts en route to a 2-0-1 record and the Pacific West Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week award.

The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Queen Creek, AZ, on Monday, Oct. 20, for games played from Oct. 13-19.

Carotenuto registered a 0.00 goals against average in 290 minutes of action, halting 13 shots on goal during the stretch. He claimed 2-0 and 3-0 wins vs. Cal State San Bernardino and Hawai‘i Pacific, respectively, and secured a scoreless draw for the Antelopes vs. Hawai‘i Hilo on Oct. 19.
