NDNU’s Jay Tsuruoka selected PacWest Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week
PHOENIX, Ariz. – Notre Dame de Namur sophomore Jay Tsuruoka (Honolulu, HI/Roosevelt) has been selected the Pacific West Conference Men's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week.
The conference announced the honor on Monday, Oct. 29, for games contested Oct. 22-28.
Tsuruoka registered a 2-0-0 week with one shutout, a 0.92 goals against average, and a .778 save percentage while working overtime – he played all 196:41 in net for the Argos.
Tsuruoka halted all four shots on goal in earning a 1-0 shutout at Holy Names on Oct. 24.
He also thwarted 3 of 5 shots on goal in a 3-2 double-overtime win at Academy of Art on Oct. 26.
