PHOENIX, Ariz. – Fresno Pacific senior midfielder Fabricio Nazare (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Tiradentes) has been selected the fifth Pacific West Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for 2012.

The conference announced the honor on Sunday, Oct. 7, for games contested Sept. 24-30.

Nazare led the Sunbirds to a 2-1-0 week in Hawai‘i by amassing 11 points on three goals and five assists.

He posted a goal and added an assist in a 6-2 win at BYU-Hawaii on Sept. 24 and chipped in an assist on the game-tying in the 48^th minute at HPU on Sept. 27.

The Sunbirds eventually lost 3-2 on a late goal.

In a 7-1 win at Chaminade on Sept. 29, Nazare scored two goals and handed out three assists in a five-point game.

Brandon Hansen (Jr., 6-0, 160, M, Phoenix, AZ/Mountain Pointe) – Grand Canyon – scored what would prove to be game-winning goal in 2-1 win over Azusa Pacific on Sept. 29...goal occurred at 23:06.

Kolby Mitnick (So., 5-8, 155, F, Newcastle, CA/Del Oro) - Dominican – led Penguins to a 2-0-0 week by scoring the game-winning goals in a pair of one-score victories…also added an assist and finished week with five points…scored game-winning goal at 53:50 in 4-3 win at Holy Names on Sept. 25…had an assist in the contest as well…snapped a 1-1 tie at 76:08 in a 2-1 victory at Academy of Art on Sept. 27.

Swap Mushiana (Gr., 5-10, 155, M, Fremont, CA/American) - Dominican – scored two goals and finished with four points in a 4-3 win at Holy Names on Sept. 25…scored goals 1:13 apart in the first half.
