BYU-Hawaii women, AAU men claim PacWest XC Championships

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - The BYU-Hawaii women's cross country team defended its league crown, while Academy of Art captured its first conference championship in the short history of its athletic program on Saturday at the 2009 Hawaiian Airlines PacWest Cross Country Championships.

The twin races were held at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco and decided the first league championships of the 2009-10 athletic campaign.

The women's 5K race kicked off at 9 a.m. this morning followed by the men's 8K at 10 a.m.

Final team and individual results are expected to be available here on the PacWest website by 1 p.m. PDT.
