PHOENIX, AZ - Notre Dame de Namur senior Ryan Nunez (Fresno, CA/Sunnyside) won the Dominican Invitational on Oct. 26 and claimed the final Pacific West Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week award for 2010.

The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Nov. 1, for races contested Oct. 25-31.

Nunez captured the event by recording a time of 17:29.17 on the 5K course and became the first Argo cross country runner to claim the PacWest weekly award this year.

Jonathon Glocknitzer - Dominican (CA) (Jr., 5-6, 110, Minden, NV/Douglas)...placed 10th overall and third among Penguin runners at the Dominican (CA) Invitational on Oct. 26...covered the 5K course in 22:00.63.

Daveson Marindich - Academy of Art (Jr., 5-9, 120, Eldoret, Kenya)...wound up ninth overall and fourth among Art U competitors at the Dominican (CA) Invitational on Oct. 26...rolled through the 5K course in 20:57.35.

Tony Roberts - NDNU (Sr., 6-1, 155, El Sobrante, CA/Salesian)...placed third overall and second among NDNU entries at the Dominican (CA) Invitational on Oct. 26...finished the 5K course in 19:39.25.

Zack Sainz - Academy of Art (Fr., 5-8, 140, Waianae, HI/Kamehameha Schools)...placed fourth overall and second among Urban Knight runners at the Dominican (CA) Invitational on Oct. 26...recorded a time of 19:46.98 on the 5K course.

Kevin So - Dominican (CA) (Fr., 5-11, 155, San Leandro, CA/Chinese Christian Schools)...wound up sixth overall and first among Penguin entries at the Dominican (CA) Invitational on Oct. 26...posted a mark of 20:24.35 on the 5K course.
