BYU-Hawaii senior Thomas Rivers Puzey earns weekly running honor
PHOENIX, AZ - BYU-Hawaii senior Thomas
Rivers Puzey (Hermiston, OR/Hermiston) has been
chosen the Pacific West Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner
of the Week.
The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Sept. 27, for races contested on Sept. 25.
Puzey captured the 2010 Chaminade Invitational individual race and led the Seasiders to a first-place finish at the event after posting a time of 25:54.28 on the 8K course.

Vincente Herrera - BYU-Hawaii (Fr., 6-3, 170, Manteca, CA/Manteca)...wound up sixth overall and fourth among Seasiders at the Chaminade Invitational on Sept. 25...helped BYU-Hawaii to a first-place finish...registered a mark of 26:41.91 on the 8K course.
Brandon Krout - BYU-Hawaii (Sr., 5-10, 175, Vancouver, WA/Prairie)...had a time of 27:06.47 on the 8K course at the Chaminade Invitational on Sept. 25...finished ninth overall and sixth among the Seasider runners.
Anders Ludvigsen - Hawai‘i Pacific (Fr., 5-10, 130, Odense, Denmark/Tietgen Business College)...top Sea Warrior at the Chaminade Invitational on Sept. 25...recorded a time of 26:36.13 on the 8K course...finished fifth overall.
Daveson Marindich - Academy of Art (Jr., 5-9, 120, Eldoret,
Kenya)...posted a time of 25:10 at the Stanford
Invitational on Sept. 25...finished 62nd among runners from
four-year schools and second among Art U competitors.
Amos Maru - Academy of Art (Jr., 5-9, 130, Nandi Hills, Kenya)...registered a time of 24:33 at the Stanford Invitational on Sept. 25...finished 31st among four-year entries and first among all Art U runners.
Justin Royer - BYU-Hawaii (Jr., 5-8, 140, Mesa, AZ/Westwood)...finished third overall at the Chaminade Invitational on Sept. 25...helped BYU-Hawaii to a first-place finish...posted a time of 26:15.03 on the 8K course.
Keoni Ucker - Hawai‘i Hilo (Jr., 6-3, NA, Pahoa, HI/Christian Liberty Academy)...recorded a time of 26:45.73 on the 8K course during the Chaminade Invitational on Sept. 25...finished first among Vulcan entries and seventh overall.
Nathan Williams - Chaminade (Fr., 6-1, NA, Las Vegas, NV/Oak Ridge, CA)...finished 10th overall and first among Silversword runners at the Chaminade Invitational on Sept. 25...posted a time of 27:10.25 on the 8K course.
