BYU-Hawaii senior Thomas Rivers Puzey claims another PacWest MXC Runner of Week honor
PHOENIX, AZ - BYU-Hawaii senior Thomas Rivers
Puzey (Hermiston, OR/Hermiston) has been chosen the
Pacific West Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the
Week.
The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Oct. 25, for races contested on Oct. 23.
Puzey captured the 2010 HPU Invite individual race and led the Seasiders to a first-place team finish at the event after posting a time of 26:48 on the 8K course.
It marks his second PacWest Runner of the Week honor of the season.
PacWest Men's Cross Country Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll
Rasmus Folino - Hawai‘i Pacific (Fr., 6-30, 165, Hillerod,
Denmark)...was third among HPU runners and 11th
overall at the 2010 HPU Invite on Oct. 23...covered the 8K course
in a time of 27:43.
Luke Graesser - BYU-Hawaii (Jr., 6-0, 155, Spokane, WA/North Central)...finished eighth overall at the 2010 HPU Invite on Oct. 23...recorded a time of 27:33 on the 8K course...helped BYU-Hawaii to a first-place team victory.
Brandon Krout - BYU-Hawaii (Sr., 5-10, 175, Vancouver, WA/Prairie)...placed sixth overall and third among Seasider runners at the 2010 HPU Invite on Oct. 23...recorded a time of 27:26 on the 8K course...helped BYU-Hawaii to a first-place team victory.
Anders Ludvigsen - Hawai‘i Pacific (Fr., 5-10, 130, Odense, Denmark/Tietgen Business College)...finished second overall and first among Sea Warrior runners at the 2010 HPU Invite on Oct. 23...recorded a time of 26:48 on the 8K course, just a few fractions of a second behind Thomas Rivers Puzey of BYU-Hawaii - the winner of the race.
Daveson Marindich - Academy of Art (Jr., 5-9, 120, Eldoret,
Kenya)...finished sixth among Division II runners and
second among Art U competitors at the 2010 Western Washington Cross
Country Classic on Oct. 23...registered a time of 31:44.2 on the
10K course...helped Urban Knights to a fourth-place finish among
Division II teams.
Dany Malley - Hawai‘i Pacific (Jr., 5-10, 130, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada/Lorne Park Secondary)...claimed 10th place overall and second place among Sea Warrior runners at the 2010 HPU Invite on Oct. 23...posted a time of 27:40 on the 8K course.
Amos Maru - Academy of Art (Jr., 5-9, 130, Nandi Hills, Kenya)...finished fourth overall and first among Urban Knight runners at the 2010 Western Washington Cross Country Classic on Oct. 23...posted a mark of 31:30.7 on the 10K course...helped Art U to a fourth-place team finish among Division II programs.
Simon Mutai - Academy of Art (Jr., 5-7, 120, Nakuru,
Kenya)...finished fourth overall and first among
Urban Knight runners at the 2010 Western Washington Cross Country
Classic on Oct. 23...posted a mark of 31:30.7 on the 10K

Justin Royer - BYU-Hawaii (Jr., 5-8, 140, Mesa, AZ/Westwood)...finished third overall and second among Seasider runners at the 2010 HPU Invite on Oct. 23...recorded a time of 26:51 on the 8K course.
Keoni Ucker - Hawai‘i Hilo (Jr., 6-3, NA, Pahoa, HI/Christian Liberty Academy)...finished sixth among Division II runners and second amont Art U competitors at the 2010 Western Washington Cross Country Classic on Oct. 23...registered a time of 31:44.2 on the 8K course...helped Urban Knights to a fourth-place finish among Division II teams.
