PHOENIX, AZ - Grand Canyon senior Kipkorir Mutai (Bomet, Kenya/Kabusare) has been chosen the latest Pacific West Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.

The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Sept. 26, for races contested on Sept. 24.

Mutai finished seventh overall at the Runners Soul Erik Anderson Cross Country Invitational in Spokane, WA, after posting a personal best time of 24:49.569 on the 8K course.

He led the Antelopes to a 16th-place team finish with his outstanding run.

Matt Belliston - BYU-Hawaii (So., 5-10, 155, Loveland, OH/Milford)...took third at the BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Sept. 24 by posting a mark of 27:00 on the 8K course...finished second among Seasider runners...helped BYU-Hawaii to team title.

Jordan Beverly - Grand Canyon (Fr., 6-1, 145, Goodyear, AZ/Millennium)...placed 110th at the 2011 Runners Soul Erik Anderson Cross Country Invitational in Spokane, WA, on Sept. 24...finished third among Antelope participants...produced a time of 26:49.118 on the 8K course...more than 200 runners competed in the race.

Jon Cleghorn - Hawai‘i Pacific (Sr., 5-11, 140, Fredericton, NB, Canada/Fredericton)...finished fifth at the BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Sept. 24 by recording time of 27:10 on the 8K course...helped Sea Warriors to a second-place finish...took second among HPU runners.

Spencer Deavila - BYU-Hawaii (Jr., 5-10, 145, Orange County, CA/Highland)...took second at the BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Sept. 24 by recording a time of 26:58 on the 8K course...topped all Seasider runners...led BYU-Hawaii to team title.

Nick Jones - BYU-Hawaii (Jr., 5-11, 145, San Clemente, CA/San Clemente)...took fourth overall and third among Seasider entries at the BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Sept. 24...registered a time of 27:04 on the 8K course...helped BYU-Hawaii take first place as a team.

Yuki Kitahara - BYU-Hawaii (Fr., 5-5, 110, Sagamihara, Japan/Kamimizio Minami)...finished in seventh place at the BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Sept. 24 by recording a time of 27:44 on the 8K course...finished fifth among all Seasiders...helped BYU-Hawaii to team title.

Brandon Kocmoud - Grand Canyon (Fr., 6-5, 185, Peoria, AZ/Sunrise Mountain)... finished 123rd at the 2011 Runners Soul Erik Anderson Cross Country Invitational in Spokane, WA, on Sept. 24...placed fourth among Antelope participants...produced a time of 27:00.772 on the 8K course...more than 200 runners competed in the race.

Dany Mally - Hawai‘i Pacific (Sr., 5-10, 130, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada/Sainte Famille)...captured the BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Sept. 24 by recording a time of 26:44 on the 8K course...led Sea Warriors to a second-place finish.

Justin Royer - BYU-Hawaii (Jr., 5-8, 140, Mesa, AZ/Westwood)...placed sixth at the BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Sept. 24 by recording a time of 27:40 on the 8K course...finished fourth among all Seasiders...helped BYU-Hawaii to team title.
