PHOENIX, Ariz. – Academy of Art freshman Clemens Kammer (Rossdorf, Germany/Carl–von-Weinberg-Schule) has been selected the first Pacific West Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for 2012.

The conference announced the honor on Wednesday, Sept. 19, for races held Aug. 31-Sept. 2 during the opening week of the season.

Kammer led the Urban Knights to a 14^th-place finish at the 2012 University of San Francisco Invitational on Sept. 1.

Kammer finished 18^th among all four-year runners and first among non-Division I competitors during the race that was held at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.

He posted a time of 25:51 on the 8K course.

Spencer Deavila (Sr., 5-10, 140, La Mirada, CA/Highland) – BYU-Hawaii – finished 10th overall and first among Seasider runners at the HPU Invitational on Sept. 1…posted a time of 16:34.

Zack Holt (Sr., 6-1, Bakersfield, CA/Bakersfield) - Holy Names - wound up first among Hawk runners, fourth among PacWest competitors, and 46^th among all four-year entries at the 2012 University of San Francisco Invitational on Sept. 1…the 8K run was held at Golden Gate Park…registered a time of 27:15…Holy Names finished 13^th in the race.

John Hooke - BYU-Hawaii - finished 12th overall and third among Seasiders at the HPU Invitational on Sept. 1…turned in a time of 16:41.

Brandon Kocmoud (So., 6-6, 185, Bakersfield, CA/Sunrise Mountain) – Grand Canyon – finished second among non-Division I runners and first among the Antelopes at the 2012 George Kyte Classic on Sept. 1…8K race was hosted by Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff at Buffalo Park…posted a time of 27:38.1 and averaged 5:33.6 per mile…finished 25^th among runners from four-year schools.

Kevin Miller - BYU-Hawaii - finished 11th overall and second among Seasider runners at the 2012 HPU Invitational on Sept. 1…posted a time of 16:36.

Mark Mojarro (Fr., 6-1, Los Angeles, CA/Bishop Mora Salesian) - Holy Names - was second among HNU runners, fifth among PacWest competitors, and 62^nd among all four-year entries at the 2012 University of San Francisco Invitational on Sept. 1…the 8K run was held at Golden Gate Park…posted a time of 27:57…HNU finished 13^th in the race.

Jack Nevins (So., 6-3, 155, Sacramento, CA/Del Campo) – Academy of Art – placed 24^th among all four-year runners, third among PacWest entries and second among the Urban Knights at the 2012 University of San Francisco Invitational on Sept. 1…the 8K run was held at Golden Gate Park…registered a time of 26:24…Art U finished 14^th in the race.
