PHOENIX, AZ – Hawai‘i Hilo sophomore catcher Bryanna Hardy (Simi Valley, CA/Grace Brethren) and Grand Canyon sophomore hurler Ivy Campas (Tucson, AZ/Sunnyside) have been named the Pacific West Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.
The award was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix,
AZ, on Monday, April 5, for games c
ontested March 29-April 4.
Hardy led the Vulcans to a 2-0 week by hitting .833. She went 5 for 6 with three runs scored and four RBI, doubled, homered, and posted a 1.500 slugging rate.
She also wracked up an .833 on-base percentage.
Campas posted a 2-0 week for the Antelopes with a 2.00 earned run average in tossing two complete-game wins vs. Academy of Art.
She struck out nine and allowed just four earned runs in 14.0 innings of action, and she did not yield an extra-base hit in the two contests.

victory over Grand Canyon on April 3...hit .375 in eight starts

doubles, seven RBI and two home runs...walked twice and reached
base after being hit by a pitch...had a .444 on-base mark and a
.792 slugging rate.
Johnna Brown - Dixie State (Fr., 6-0, SS, R/R, Las Vegas, NV/Centennial)...went 4 for 4 with three runs scored, four RBI and two home runs in 22-4 shelling of Division I Southern Utah on March 31...had a 2.500 slugging percentage and a 1.000 on-base mark...lone game of the week for Dixie State.
Breanna Egge - Dixie State (Jr., 5-4, C, R/R, Las Vegas, NV/Centennial)...went 4 for 5 with three runs scored, two RBI and one home run in 22-4 beating of Division I Southern Utah on March 31...had a 1.400 slugging percentage and an .800 on-base mark in the win...lone game of the week for the Red Storm.
Maile Kim - Hawai‘i Pacific (So., 5-3, U, R/R, Salinas,
CA/Notre Dame)...helped HPU to 3-1 week by batting
.667 in four starts...went 8 for 12 with five runs scored, seven
RBI, a walk and a home run...hit a sacrifice fly...recorded a .917
slugging percentage and a .692 on-base rate.
Ashley Lokey - Academy of Art (Jr., 5-4, OF, L/R, Eugene, OR/Elmira)...hit .429 in eight starts during a 3-5 week for the Urban Knights...went 9 for 21 with eight runs scored, two homers and three RBI...posted a .714 slugging rate and a .556 on-base mark...walked six times and dropped a sacrifice bunt...went 3 for 3 in stolen base attempts.
Nicole Morrow - Hawai‘i Pacific (Fr., 5-7, U, R/R, Puyallup, WA/John Rogers)...led Sea Warriors to 3-1 week by hitting .600 in four starts...went 6 for 10 with two runs scored, two doubles and one home run...drove in eight runs, walked once and hit a sacrifice fly...posted a 1.100 slugging percentage and a .583 on-base rate.
Sherise Musquiz - Hawai‘i Pacific (Sr., 6-0, P, R/R, Pico Rivera, CA/El Rancho)...posted a 2-0 record on the week after earning two wins vs. Academy of Art...recorded a 1.75 ERA in tossing two complete games...allowed three earned runs in 12.0 innings of action while opponents batted just .196...struck out six.
Jessi Saaty - Dominican (CA) (So., 5-3, P/OF, R/R, Ridgecrest,
CA/Burroughs)...tossed a complete-game, seven-inning
shutout vs. BYU-Hawaii on March 29...allowed just one hit and a
0.43 batting average...posted a 0.00 ERA with two
strikeouts...walked one hitter...batted .400 in two starts, going 2
for 5 with a run scored, an RBI and a sacrifice bunt.
Amber Waracka - Hawai‘i Hilo (So., 5-9, P, R/R, Kahuluu, HI/Kamehameha-Kapalama)...blanked Chaminade 8-0 in five innings in her lone appearance of the week...struck out five and allowed just three hits with a .143 batting average over 6.0 innings of action.
Sarah Weisskopf - Hawai‘i Hilo (Jr., 5-6, P, R/R, Kapolei, HI/Punahou)...earned a 5-2 win over Chaminade on Apr. 3 during her lone appearance of the week...tossed a complete-game victory by striking out four Silversword hitters and giving up one earned run on five hits...walked just one batter and allowed a .192 batting average.
