KANEOHE, HI – Hawai‘i Pacific defeated Central Washington 1-0 on Sunday afternoon to advance to the NCAA II West Super Regional this coming weekend against Chico State.
The Sea Warriors have a strong shot at hosting the best-of-three super regional beginning May 21 as the top seed in the West Region entering the post-season.

“It’s so exciting to be a part of this,” Musquiz, who improved to 28-2 on the season, said. “For us to be going to the Super Regional is just great.”
HPU scored the game’s only run in the first inning. Nicole Morrow drove home Casey Sugihara who had walked and advanced to second on a pop fly by Maile Kim. Musquiz, who had homered in game one, led HPU at the plate with two hits.
HPU improves to 44-7 while CWU closes its season at 40-15.
