4 PacWest teams ranked in NCAA II West Region Top 10
Hawai‘i Pacific, Grand Canyon, Hawai‘i Hilo, Dixie State ranked in NCAA II West Region Poll
PHOENIX, AZ –
The Pacific West Conference has claimed four of the Top 10 spots in
the
most recent NCAA Division II West Region Softball
Rankings, moving the conference into contention to possibly secure
multiple post-season berths.
Hawai‘i Pacific remains the number one team in the West Region, while Grand Canyon is positioned third followed by Hawai‘i Hilo in sixth. The top eight teams in each region are selected to the NCAA II National Championship Tournament in May.
Dixie State, the West Region Champion last year, currently is listed ninth in the region and lurking for an opportunity to climb in the poll.
The NCAA Division II Softball Committee released its weekly rankings on Wednesday, Nov. 7, from its office in Indianapolis. The records are through April 5 and reflect both the team’s overall Division II mark and its record in the West Region.
