PHOENIX, AZ - California Baptist junior 1B/DP Sloan McHann (Modesto, CA/Modesto Christian) and senior hurler Tory Ferreira (Murrieta, CA/Calvary Chapel Murrieta) have claimed the fourth PacWest Player, Pitcher of the Week honors of 2012.

The PacWest announced the awards on March 7 for games contested during the fourth week of the season - Feb. 20-26.

(Feb. 27, 2012) - Player of the Week (Feb. 20-26)...Sloan McHann - California Baptist (Jr., 6-1, 1B/DP, R/L, Modesto, CA/Modesto Christian)...led the Lancers to a 3-1 week by hitting .625 in four starts...went 10 for 16 with three runs scored, two doubles and three RBI...posted a .750 slugging rate and a .625 on-base mark.

(Feb. 27, 2012) - Pitcher of the Week (Feb. 20-26)...Tory Ferreira - California Baptist (Sr., 5-9, P, R/R, Murrieta, CA/Calvary Chapel Murrieta)...earned honor for second straight week after posting pair of complete-game shutouts...went 2-0 in three appearances, two starts and 16.2 innings of work...struck out nine and scattered eight hits...opponents managed to hit just .151.

Kendall Gorham - California Baptist (Sr., 5-11, OF/1B, R/R, Riverside, CA/Riverside Poly)...batted .429 in four starts for the Lancers during a 3-1 week...went 6 for 14 with three runs, three doubles, one homer and four RBI...had an .857 slugging rate and a .500 on-base mark...walked twice.

Sylia Honne - Notre Dame de Namur (Jr., 5-6, OF, L/R, Buckeye, AZ/Buckeye Union)...helped Argos to a 3-1 week by hitting .400 in four games and two starts...went 2 for 5 with four runs scored, three walks and three stolen bases...had a .400 slugging mark and a .625 on-base rate.

Maile Kim - Hawai‘i Pacific (Sr., 5-4, U, R/R, Marina, CA/Notre Dame)...drove in five runs and hit .333 in 2-4 week for Sea Warriors...started six games...was 7 for 21 with two runs, a double and a homer...had a sacrifice fly, a sacrifice bunt and a stolen base...posted a .524 on-base mark.

Sammy McConvey - Notre Dame de Namur (Jr., 6-0, P/IF, R/R, Livermore, CA/Livermore)...posted a 1-1 week that included a complete-game shutout...struck out nine in 13.0 innings of work...walked just one and allowed just one earned run...posted a 0.54 ERA.

Nicole Morrow - Hawai‘i Pacific (Jr., 5-7, C//OF, R/R, Puyallup, WA/John Rogers)...hit .333 in a 2-4 week for the Sea Warriors...was 4 for 12 with three runs scored, one double, one home run and five RBI...walked four times...had a .667 slugging mark and a .500 on-base rate.

Mary Ortega - Notre Dame de Namur (Jr., 5-7, IF, R/R, San Jose, CA/Piedmont Hills)...hit .400 during a 3-1 week for the Argos...went 4 for 10 with three runs scored, a double and two homers...drove in five runs and walked four times...had a 1.100 slugging rate and a .571 on-base mark.
