HPU ranked 2nd in NCAA II West Region, 15th in NFCA National Poll; Dixie St. 6th in regional

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Hawai‘i Pacific (37-10/36-9 in-region) maintained its second-place ranking, while Dixie State (28-11/28-11) stayed in sixth when the final NCAA Division II West Region Poll was unveiled on Wednesday, May 4, by the Division II Softball Committee in Indianapolis, IN.

The Top 10 teams are listed in each of the eight regions around the country. The NCAA will announce its 64-team National Championship field on Monday morning, May 9.

HPU jumped into the Division II Top 10 in the weekly National Fastpitch Coaches Association Poll, while Dixie State is receiving votes. The Sea Warriors, who were ranked 15^th last week, have climbed to ninth in the country.

Both HPU and Dixie State have completed their seasons. The two squads shared the PacWest Championship, but Hawai‘i Pacific earned the automatic qualifier to the NCAA II Tournament. The Red Storm is expecting an at-large berth to the nationals on Monday.
