Academy of Art middle blocker Camille Board named PacWest Volleyball Player of the Week
PHOENIX, AZ - Academy of Art junior middle blocker
Camille Board (Redwood City, CA/Notre
Dame) has been named the Pacific West Conference
Volleyball Player of the Week.
The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Oct. 25, for matches played Oct. 18-24.
Board led the Urban Knights to a 2-0 week with a non-league win over William Jessup and a 3-0 sweep of Dominican (CA).
She led the conference in hitting for the week, posting a .613 percentage on 21 kills in 31 attempts with just two errors.
She ranked fifth in kills per game (3.50) and fourth in points per game (4.25), totaling 25.5 points on the 21 kills, five block assists, one block solo and one service ace.

Natasha Bell - Hawai‘i Pacific (Jr., 5-9, OH, Sunnyvale,
CA/The Kings Academy)...led the Sea Warriors to a 2-0
week...ranked sixth in kills per game (3.43)...totaled 24 kills,
three aces and a block assist for 27.5 points...ranked fifth in
points per game (3.93)...also tied for eighth in aces per game with
a 0.43 average.
Melissa Cheng - Academy of Art (So., S, 5-10, Sunnyvale, CA/Homestead)...helped the Urban Knights to a 2-0 week by topping the PacWest in assists per game (12.17)...totaled 73 assists in six games.
Kimee Clark - Dixie State (Jr., 5-9, S, St. George, UT/Dixie)...led the Red Storm to a 2-0 week...ranked third in assist average (10.57 per game) and second in total assists (74) in the PacWest for the week...ranked second in aces per game with a 0.86 mark...had six in seven games.
Hillary-Lucy Hurley - Hawai‘i Hilo (Jr., 6-2,

prise)...ranked third in the PacWest in kills per
game for the week (4.43)...also ranked third in scoring average
with a 4.71 points-per-game mark...totaled 33 points on 31 kills,
two block assists and a service ace...helped the Vulcans to a 2-0
week.
Brita Noble - Dixie State (So., 5-6, OH, Taylorsville, UT/Taylorsville)...helped the Red Storm to a 2-0 week...ranked eighth in scoring in the PacWest with a 3.79 points-per-game average...totaled 26.5 points on 23 kills, three block assists, a block solo and an ace...ranked eighth in kills per game (3.29) for the week.
Kyra Pelayo - Hawai‘i Pacific (Jr., 5-3, DS, San Jose, CA/Saint Francis)...led the PacWest in digs per game (7.75) and total digs (62) during the week...outstanding defense helped HPU post a 2-0 conference mark.
Ashlee Sand - Dominican (CA) (So., 6-0, MB, Rohnert Park, CA/Rancho Cotate)...ranked second in the PacWest in hitting with a .431 percentage...posted 30 kills in 58 attempts with just five errors...helped Penguins to 1-2 week.
Katie Swenson - Hawai‘i Hilo (Sr., 5-9, S, Bellevue, WA/Omaha
Gross Catholic)...ranked second in the PacWest in
assists per game (10.71) for the week...totaled 75 over seven games
covering two sets.
Christina Villamayor - Notre Dame de Namur (Jr., 6-1, OH, Poway, CA/Poway)...tied for the PacWest lead in kills per game for the week (5.00)...led the conference for the week in total kills with 55...ranked second in points per game (5.36) and first in total points (59)...also solid on defense, averaging 4.55 digs per game to rank 10th in the league for the week.
Dan Yang - Academy of Art (Sr., OH, 6-2, Beijing, China/Beijing 5th Sports School)... led the PacWest in points per game (6.00) and kills per game (5.00) for the week...totaled 18 points on 15 kills, two block solos and two block assists...tied for third in blocks per game (1.33).
