BYU-Hawaii junior OH Lauren Hagemeyer named PacWest Volleyball Player of the Week

Lauren Hagemeyer PHOENIX, AZ - BYU-Hawaii junior outside hitter Lauren Hagemeyer (Ridgway, CO/Ridgway) has been named the Pacific West Conference Volleyball Player of the Week.

The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Oct. 3, for matches contested Sept. 26-Oct. 2.

Hagemeyer led the Seasiders to a 3-0 road trip by winning once at Dixie State and twice at Grand Canyon

She finished the week ranked fifth in hitting in the conference with a .379 average, recording 50 kills in 103 attempts while committing just 11 errors.

She averaged 4.17 kills per set to stand sixth for the week in the PacWest, while her 4.71 points-per-set average landed her fifth for the week in the league. She totaled 56.5 points on her 50 kills, three block solos and seven block assists.

Jelena Dragovic Shih Ting Chen - BYU-Hawaii (Fr., 5-10, MB, Yunlin, Taiwan/Chung Shan)...led BYU-Hawaii to a 3-0 week by averaging 5.46 points, 4.67 kills and 4.42 digs per set...ranked ninth in dig average, third in kill average and fourth in scoring for the week in the PacWest...had 65.5 points on 56 kills, eight aces and three block assists...amassed 53 digs...was third in aces per set for the week (0.67).

Ying Chun Chen - BYU-Hawaii Pacific (Fr., 5-7, S, Kaohsiung, Taiwan/Chung Shan)...led Seasiders to a 3-0 road trip with one win at Dixie State and two at Grand Canyon...ranked second for the week in assists per set (11.58) in the PacWest...totaled 139 assists in 12 sets...ranked fifth in aces per set (0.58) for the week...totaled seven aces over three matches.

Jelena Dragovic - California Baptist (So., 6-3, MB, Belgrade, Serbia)...helped CBU to 1-1 week by hitting .389...ranked fourth in hitting in the PacWest for the week...totaled 17 kills in 36 attempts with three errors...ranked fourth in block average for the week (1.38)...totaled nine blocks on one solo and eight assists.

Jen Hardman - Dixie State (Fr., 5-9, S, American Fork, UT/American Fork)...amassed 43 assists and averaged 10.75 assists per set in lone match of the week...tied for third in assist average during the week in PacWest...hit .357...contributed five kills in 14 attempts with no errors.

Hillary Hurley Hillary Hurley - Hawai‘i Hilo (Sr., 6-2, MB, Anderson, CA/Enterprise)...topped PacWest in scoring (8.25 points per set), kills (121) and kills per set ( 7.56) for the week...helped Vulcans to 3-1 road record and a 3-0 mark in conference action...also averaged 3.43 digs per set to tie for sixth for the week...totaled 24 digs in two matches...hit .297 to rank fifth for the week.

Pihana Kea - Hawai‘i Pacific (Jr., 5-5, S, Honolulu, HI/Punahou)...helped HPU to a 3-1 win over Chaminade in lone match of the week...totaled 43 assists in the contest...avearged 10.75 assists per set to tie for third in the PacWest for the week.

Olivia Lane - Hawai‘i Hilo (Fr., 6-1, MB, Rocklin, CA/Rocklin)...helped Vulcans to a 3-1 week, including a 3-0 mark in PacWest action...tied for sixth in blocks per set (1.00) for the week and led the league in total blocks (16)...had two block solos and 14 block assists during four matches...ranked eight in hitting for the week in the conference...posted a .345 average with 26 kills in 58 attempts...committed just six errors.

Christina Villamayor Lehuanani Oleole - Academy of Art (Fr., 5-6, S, Honolulu, HI/Roosevelt)...tied for third for the week in assist average (10.75)...recorded 43 assists in lone match of the week - 3-2 loss vs. Holy Names...also averaged 0.50 aces per set to tie for sixth in the conference for the week.

Losaline Pula - BYU-Hawaii (Sr., 5-9, OH, Salt Lake City, UT/Highland)...helped BYU-Hawaii to 3-0 week with three victories in conference action on the road...topped the PacWest in digs per set for the week (7.08)...totaled 85 digs in a dozen sets.

Christina Villamayor - Notre Dame de Namur (Sr., 6-1, OH, Poway, CA/Poway)...averaged 5.62 points and 5.25 kills per set in a 1-1 week...tied for second in scoring and ranked second in kills per set in the PacWest for the week...totaled 45 points on 42 kills, two aces and a pair of block assists.
