NDNU's Jennifer Dreessen claims PacWest honor

PHOENIX, AZ - Notre Dame de Namur senior forward Jennifer Dreessen (Danville, CA/San Ramon Valley) has been named the Pacific West Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

The award was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Dec. 28, for games contested Dec. 14-20.

Dreessen led the Argos to a 2-1 week by averaging 19.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.

She ranked second in scoring and fourth in rebounding for the week, while her shooting landed her fourth in the PacWest for the week.

She shot 65.7% (23 for 35) from the field, 50.0% from beyond the arc (3 for 6), and tied for ninth in three-pointers made per game (1.0).

Hina Kimitete (left) - Hawai‘i Hilo (Sr., 5-3, G, Kailua-Kona, HI/Konawaena)...scored 20 points and doled out seven assists in lone game of the week for the Vulcans - a 71-52 non-league victory over BYU-Hawaii...shot 70.0% (7 for 10) from the floor...led the PacWest in scoring and assist average for the week...ranked second in shooting...was 3 for 3 from the line...ranked second in steal average (4.0)...recorded four steals in win over Seasiders...ranked first in three-pointers made per game (3.0)...tied for fifth in three-point shooting (50.0%) in the PacWest for the week (3 for 6)...posted a 1.8 assist/turnover ratio (3rd in the PacWest for the week).
