Dixie State senior Breann Hill named PacWest Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

 PHOENIX, AZ - Dixie State senior forward Breann Hill (Harrisburg, PA/Bishop McDevitt) has been named the Pacific West Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

The award was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Dec. 6, for games contested Nov. 29-Dec. 5.

Hill averaged 17.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while shooting 65.0% (13 for 20) from the floor in leading the Red Storm to a 2-0 week.

Dixie State posted key West Region wins over Seattle Pacific and Northwest Nazarene.

Hill also doled out 4.5 assists per contest and recorded 4.0 steals per game while shooting 66.7% (4 for 6) from beyond the arc.

Erica Carlson - Dixie State (Fr., 6-4, Sr., Tucson, AZ/Canyon del Oro)...helped the Red Storm to a 2-0 week with a victories over powerful Seattle Pacific and Northwest Nazarene by averaging 9.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game...shot 72.7% (8 for 11) from the floor...also averaged 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals per contest.

Paris Gravely - Hawai‘i Pacific (Jr., 5-5, G, Fairfield, CA/Fairfield)...scored 16 points in 62-51 non-conference win vs. Hawai‘i Hilo on Dec. 5...also had seven rebounds, five steals and two assists...shot 66.7% (6 for 9) from the floor.

Hillary Hurley - Hawai‘i Hilo (Jr., 6-2, F, Anderson, CA/Enterprise)...averaged 14.5 points per game in a 1-1 weekend for the Vulcans...shot 63.2% (12 for 19) from the floor...also averaged 9.5 rebounds per contest.

Samantha Murphy - Grand Canyon (Sr., 5-8, G, Phoenix, AZ/Xavier Prep)...led the Antelopes to a pair of crucial West Region victories over Seattle Pacific and Northwest Nazarene at Dixie State...averaged 23.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 three-pointers made per game...was perfect from the line (8 for 8) and shot 48.5% (16 for 33) from the floor...hit on 60.0% (6 for 10) of three-point attempts.
