Dixie State senior forward Breann Hill named PacWest Women’s Basketball Player of Week
PHOENIX, AZ - Dixie State senior forward
Breann Hill (Harrisburg, PA/McDevitt) has
been named the Pacific West Conference Women’s Basketball
Player of the Week for the second time this season.
The award was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Feb. 14, for games held Feb. 7-13.
Hill led the Red Storm to a 2-0 week by averaging 25.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 69.2% (18 for 26) from the floor.
She ranked fourth in shooting, first in scoring and tied for 10th in rebounding in the PacWest for the week.
She also shot 71.4% (5 for 7) from beyond the arc to rank third for the week, while she made 90.0% (9 for 10) of her free throw attempts.

Sheila Adams - Dixie State (Jr., 5-6, G, Layton,
UT/Layton)...helped Dixie State to a 2-0 week by
averaging 15.3 points and 5.0 rebounds per game...ranked ninth in
scoring and tied for fifth in assist average for the week in the
PacWest...shot 56.3% (9 for 16) from the floor.
Jazzmin Awa-Williams - Hawai‘i Pacific (Sr., 5-9, F, Kona, HI/Konawaena)...led the Sea Warriors to a 2-0 week by averaging 12.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game...shot 54.5% (6 for 11) from the floor...made a living at the free throw line by converting 13 of 16 attempts (81.3%).
Tammy Brawner - Dominican (CA) (Gr., 5-6, G, Oakland, CA/Skyline)...ranked fourth in scoring in the PacWest for the week despite a 0-2 mark for the Penguins...averaged 21.5 points per game...converted 13 of 16 free throw attempts (81.3%).
Johnna Brown - Dixie State (So., 6-0, F, Las Vegas, NV/Centennial)...helped guide the Red Storm to a 2-0 week by averaging 17.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game...ranked seventh in both rebounding and scoring for the week in the PacWest...tied for third in assists per game (5.5)...ranked second in shooting for the week (75.0%) after making 12 of 16 field goal attempts.

Dixie State (Fr., 6-4, C, Tucson, AZ/Canyon del
Oro)...helped the Red Storm to a 2-0 week by
averaging 9.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.0 blocks per game...led
the PacWest in blocked shots for the week and ranked 10th in
rebounding...shot 60.0% (6 for 10) from the field and 87.5% (7 for
8) from the line...ranked ninth in foul shooting and tied for
eighth in field goal percentage for the week in the PacWest.
Hillary Hurley - Hawai‘i Hilo (Jr., 6-2, F, Anderson, CA/Enterprise)...posted a double-double in lone game of the week - a 60-48 loss vs. Hawai‘i Pacific...recorded 19 points and 11 rebounds in the contest...shot 92.9% (13 for 14) from the line..ranked seventh in foul shooting for the week in the PacWest.
Samantha Murphy - Grand Canyon (Sr., 5-8, G, Phoenix, AZ/Xavier Prep)...ranked third in scoring and tied for sixth in foul shooting for the week in the PacWest...made 13 of 14 (92.9%) free throw attempts...averaged 22.0 points per game...tied for fifth in steals per game (2.5) for the week...hit four three-pointers.
Rosalyn Nelson - Grand Canyon (Sr., 5-8, G, Phoenix, AZ/Deer
Valley)...led the PacWest in steals per game (5.0)
while guiding the Antelopes to a 2-0 week...averaged 17.5 points
per game...ranked sixth in scoring and third in shooting (72.7%)
for the week in the PacWest...made 16 of 22 field goal
attempts...tied for fifth in assists per game (5.0) for the
week.
Jessica Nolan - Academy of Art (Sr., 5-11, F, Adelaide, Australia/Hallet Cove School)...averaged 13.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game in a 1-2 week for the Urban Knights...ranked 10th in scoring, tied for third in rebounding and tied for eighth in steals per game for the week in the PacWest...shot 63.3% (19 for 30) from the floor...ranked sixth in shooting for the week in the conference.
Richelle Rieben - BYU-Hawaii (Sr., 5-5, G, Coeur d’Alene, ID/Lake City)...led Seasiders to 72-35 win over Chaminade on Feb. 11 - BYU-Hawaii’s lone game of the week...scored 24 points, handed out four assists and drained eight three-pointers in the victory...shot 61.5% (8 for 13) from beyond the arc...ranked fourth in three-point shooting for the week in the conference...ranked second in scoring for the week...ranked first in three-pointers made per game.
