PHOENIX, AZ - Grand Canyon senior forward Jallisa Butler (Las Vegas, NV/Cimarron) has been selected the Pacific West Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Dec. 12, for games contested Dec. 5-11.

Butler was named the MVP of the CCAA/PacWest Shootout hosted by San Francisco State on Dec. 9-10 after she led the 17th-ranked Antelopes to wins over Cal State Stanislaus and the host Gators.

She averaged a double-double for the week, posting 11.5 points and 16.0 rebounds per game while shooting 62.5% (10 for 16) from the floor.

She led the PacWest in shooting and tied for first in rebounding for the week.

Myriah Hicks - California Baptist (Jr., 5-4, G, Springfield, MO/Central)...led Lancers to a victory over Hope International in lone game of the week...scored 21 points...shot 87.5% (7 for 8) from the line.

Hillary Hurley - Hawai‘i Hilo (Sr., 6-2, F, Anderson, CA/Enterprise)...named to the 2011 AT&T Hoops Classic All-Tournament Team...led Vulcans to a 2-1 week by averaging 15.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game...ranked seventh in rebounding and fifth in scoring in the PacWest for the week...ranked third in shooting in the PacWest after making 59.3% (16 for 27) from the floor...made 14 of 19 free throw attempts (73.7%)...averaged 1.7 blocks per game - good enough for fifth in the PacWest for the week.
