Art U’s Jordan Rogers earns PacWest Women’s Basketball Player of Week for Dec. 17-23

Jordan Rogers PHOENIX, Ariz. – Academy of Art senior guard Jordan Rogers (Sparks, NV/Spanish Springs) has been selected the Pacific West Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games contested Dec. 17-23.

The conference announced the honor on Monday, Dec. 31.

Rogers led the Urban Knights to a 1-1 week, including an 82-73 win over #17 Pittsburg State during the Las Vegas Challenge on Dec. 18.

She averaged 17.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.5 blocks per game in the tournament while shooting 76.2% (16 for 21) from the line and 47.1% (8 for 17) from the field.

Rogers scored 20 points, grabbed seven boards, blocked four shots and committed four steals in the win over Pittsburg State.

She ranked sixth in scoring, 16th in rebounding, tied for second in thievery and tied for third in rejections for the week in the PacWest.

Regina Camera (Fr., 5-7, G, Stockton, CA/Saint Mary's) – Academy of Art – helped lead the Urban Knights to a 1-1 week, including an upset of #17 Pittsburg State on Dec. 18, by averaging 19.0 points and 2.5 steals per game…ranked fifth in scoring and tied for sixth in steal average for the week in the PacWest…ranked second in three-pointers made per game (4.0) for the week…drained eight over the two contests played at the Las Vegas Challenge Dec. 18-19.

Renique Fitzpatrick (Fr., 6-0, G, Fairfield, CA/Armijo) – Holy Names – scored 15 points, collected 11 rebounds and blocked three shots in pushing HNU to an 81-75 win over UC Merced on Dec. 19 – the lone game of the week for the Hawks…shot 50.0% (4 for 8) from the floor and 77.8% (7 for 9) from the line.

Yesenia Garzon (Sr., 6-0, G, San Lorenzo, CA/Arroyo) – Holy Names – recorded 10 points and nine rebounds while shooting 50.0% (5 for 10) from the field in HNU's 81-75 victory vs. UC Merced on Dec. 19 – the lone game of the week for the Hawks.

Myriah Hicks (Sr., 5-4, G, Springfield, MO/Central) – California Baptist – helped Lancers to a 1-1 pre-holiday break record by averaging 11.0 points, 4.0 steals and 3.5 assists per game…tied for ninth in helpers and ranked first in thefts for the week in the PacWest…also led the league in foul shooting for the week after going 8 for 8 from the line.

Kamie Imai (Jr., 5-9, G, Hilo, HI/Waiakea) – Hawai'i Hilo – averaged 15.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Vulcans…tied for 11th in scoring and tied for 13th in rebounding in the PacWest for the week…shot 53.8% (14 for 26) from the field to tie for 12th during the week…also tied for ninth in assists per game (3.5).

Hannah Kenny (Jr., 5-11, F, San Luis Obispo, CA/San Luis Obispo) – Azusa Pacific – averaged 16.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Cougars…ranked ninth in scoring and third in rebounding in the PacWest for the week...shot 48.0% (12 for 25) from the floor and 72.7% (8 for 11) from the line.

Carlotta Kloppenburg Judy Jones (Jr., 5-9, G/F, Monroe, LA/Wossman) – Grand Canyon – averaged 19.5 points, 14.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game in a 1-1 week for the Antelopes…ranked fourth in scoring, first in rebounding and fourth in assist average for the week in the PacWest.

Carlotta Kloppenburg (Jr., 5-8, G, Susanville, CA/Lassen) – Point Loma – averaged 20.5 points and 5.5 three-pointers made per game despite a 0-2 week for the Sea Lions…led the PacWest in scoring and in three-pointers made per game for the week…shot 51.7% (15 for 29) from the field to rank 16th in the league for the week…ranked 12th in three-point field goal percentage for the week after making 11 of 23 (47.8%) attempts from beyond the arc (left photo).

Mandy Munns (Sr., 6-3, C, Brigham City, UT/Box Elder) – Dixie State – averaged 17.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game despite a 0-2 week for the Red Storm…tied for seventh in scoring and ranked 17th in rebounding in the PacWest for the week…tied for 10th in shooting for the week…made 13 of 24 (54.2%) field goal attempts…tied for 12th in free throw shooting (80.0%) after making 8 for 10 attempts from the line.

Britney Potestio (Sr., 5-8, G, San Lorenzo, CA/Arroyo) – Holy Names – totaled 20 points, three rebounds, three steals, an assist and a blocked shot in leading the Hawks to an 81-75 overtime victory vs. UC Merced on Dec. 19 – the lone game of the week for HNU…tied for 12th in free throw shooting in the PacWest for the week after making 8 of 10 (80.0%) attempts from the line.

Amanda Sims (Sr., 5-10, G, Fullerton, CA/Troy) – Azusa Pacific – averaged 17.0 points and 3.0 three-pointers made per game in a 1-1 week for the Cougars…tied for seventh in scoring and tied for third in three-pointers made per game for the week in the PacWest...shot 42.9% (6 for 14) from beyond the arc and was perfect (6 for 6) at the line.
