GCU, BYU-Hawaii await NCAA II Women’s Soccer Selection Show on Monday, Nov. 7
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The NCAA
Division II Women’s Soccer Selection Show will be
broadcast on Monday, Nov. 7, live from Indianapolis at 5:30 p.m.
MST (4:30 p.m. PST/2:30 p.m. HT).
The 2011 NCAA II Women’s Soccer Championship Tournament will consist of 48 teams spread across eight regions with six teams competing in each region. The top two teams in each region receive opening-round byes.
Grand Canyon, ranked 10th in the Nov. 2 NCAA II West Region Poll, is locked into the post-season tournament after claiming the PacWest automatic qualifier and finishing second in the conference.
California Baptist won the PacWest title this season but is not eligible for NCAA post-season play until it completes the progression to become a full Division II member.
Grand Canyon is 9-5-3 overall and 8-2-2 in the PacWest.
BYU-Hawaii is hoping for an at-large berth after forging a 12-3-1 overall record and an 8-3-1 mark in the PacWest. The Seasiders finished third in the league with 25 points – just one point behind runner-up Grand Canyon.
