Dixie State freshman Jennifer Mason named PacWest Women’s Soccer Player of the Week

PHOENIX, AZ - Dixie State freshman forward Jennifer Mason (Springville, UT/Springville) has been chosen the Pacific West Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week.

The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Sept. 26, for games played Sept. 19-25.

Mason unleashed a phenomenal game during a 6-0 victory over Academy of Art on Sept. 23.

She had a hand in four of the team’s six goals, posting a natural hat-trick along with an assist in totaling her seven-point game.

She scored three consecutive goals at 31:31, 60:30 and 66:30, and assisted on the game-winning score at 3:05.

Hannah Emmett - Academy of Art (So., 5-4, M/F, Halifax, NS, Canada/Citadel)...posted a three-point effort in tough 3-2 loss vs. HPU on Sept. 20...scored a goal and added an assist in the contest.

Marina Nesic - Grand Canyon (Jr., 5-4, M/F, Koceljeva, Serbia)...scored two goals and posted four points in 7-2 win at Chaminade on Sept. 24...scored one goal on a penalty kick.

Kylee Nicassio - California Baptist (Sr., 5-9, F, Alta Loma, CA/Los Osos)...amassed seven points on three goals and an assist in a 1-0-1 week for the Lancers...had two goals and an assist in 3-0 win vs. Dominican on Sept. 24...tied game 2-2 at 33:39 vs. NDNU on Sept. 20...game ended in a 3-3 double-overtime draw.

Kristine Pasek - Hawai‘i Hilo (Fr., 5-5, F, Apple Valley, CA/Granite Hills)...totaled four points on two goals in 1-0-1 week for the Vulcans...scored game’s first goal in 2-1 win at Chaminade...tied game 1-1 in double-overtime tie at Hawai‘i Pacific on Sept. 24.

Sanoe Souza - Hawai‘i Pacific (Jr., 5-5, M, Lawai, HI/Kamehameha-Kapalama)... recorded three points on a goal and an assist during a 1-0-1 week for the Sea Warriors...knotted game 1-1 in 3-2 win at Academy of Art on Sept. 20.
