Fresno Pacific’s Sarah King named PacWest Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week
PHOENIX, Ariz. – Fresno Pacific junior
Sarah King (Tulare, CA/Tulare Western)
has been selected the fifth Pacific West Conference
Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week for 2012.
The conference announced the honor on Sunday, Oct. 7, for games contested Sept. 24-30.
King posted a 2-0-1 week in Hawai‘i by producing an .875 save percentage and a 0.91 goals against average.
She stopped 21 of 24 shots on goal over 298:19, halting 7 of 8 in a 1-1 double-overtime draw at BYU-Hawaii on Sept. 24.
She also repelled 9 of 10 shots on goal in 3-1 victory at HPU on Sept. 27 and redirected 5 of 6 shots on net in a 2-1 overtime win at Chaminade on Sept. 29.
