UHH's Kristine Pasek earns PacWest Women's Soccer Player of the Week award
PHOENIX, Ariz. – Hawai'i Hilo sophomore Kristine Pasek (Apple Valley, CA/Granite Hills) has been selected the second Pacific West Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for 2012.
The conference announced the honor on Sunday, Sept. 30, for the second week of games contested Sept. 3-9.
Pasek scored three goals and totaled six points during a 2-0-0 week for the Vulcans.
She tallied an insurance goal in the 35th minute during a 3-1 win vs. Western Oregon on Sept. 3.
On Sept. 8, Pasek scored the game's first two goals, including the game-winner, in a 5-1 victory over Chaminade.

Kelly Jenks (Jr., 5-9, F, Palo Alto, CA/Palo Alto) – California Baptist – registered an assist on lone goal scored by Lancers in 3-1 loss at Cal State San Bernardino on Sept. 4…tallied insurance goal vs. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in a 3-1 win on Sept. 8…totaled three points during a 1-1 week for CBU.
Brianna Lopiccolo (So., 5-6, F, San Jose, CA/Arch Mitty) – Hawai'i Hilo – scored a goal and recorded three assists in a five-point week for the Vulcans…UHH posted a 2-0-0 week…recorded game-winner in 3-1 victory over Western Oregon on Sept. 3…also had an assist on the insurance goal…had two assists in 5-1 victory over Chaminade on Sept. 8.
Britney Machado-Potestio (Sr., 5-6, F/D, San Lorenzo, CA/Arroyo) – Holy Names – scored two goals in a 1-1 week for the Hawks…tallied a goal in a 5-2 loss vs. Southern Oregon on Sept. 3…tallied an insurance goal in 2-0 win over Simpson on Sept. 8…finished week with four points.
Megan McCain (Jr., 5-7, GK, Northglenn, CO/Broomfield) – BYU-Hawaii – halted all three shots on goal in a 1-0 shutout of Western Oregon on Sept. 6…lone game of the week for the Seasiders…posted back-to-back shutouts to start the season.
Kim Micheletti (Jr., 5-10, F/M, Redding, CA/University Preparatory) – BYU-Hawaii – scored game-winning goal in 53rd minute during a 1-0 victory over Western Oregon on Sept. 6 – lone game of the week for the Seasiders…had two points in the game on the goal.
