PHOENIX, Ariz. – Dixie State sophomore forward Jennifer Mason (Springville, UT/Springville) has been selected the third Pacific West Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for 2012.
The conference announced the honor on Tuesday, Oct. 2, for the third week of games contested Sept. 10-16.
Mason was a one-woman wrecking crew who had a foot in each of the Red Storm's goals during a 4-2 victory at Notre Dame de Namur on Sept. 15.
She finished the game with seven points on three goals and one assist putting Dixie State up 1-0 at 31:32 and then setting up Kimberly Thurman with the game's second goal at 57:01.
After NDNU tied the game 2-2 on back-to-back goals 14 minutes apart, Mason took control again by scoring the game-winner at 80:29 and then adding some insurance at 82:54.

Sarah King (Jr., 5-6, GK, Tulare, CA/Tulare Western) – Fresno Pacific - posted a 0-1-1 week with an .812 save percentage, a 1.35 goals against average, and 13 saves…halted all eight shots on goal in a 0-0 double-overtime draw vs. Grand Canyon on Sept. 15.
