Ingrid Cseh HPU women fall in national semifinals

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL – Ninth-ranked Hawai‘i Pacific fell to top-ranked Armstrong Atlantic 5-0 on Friday morning, May 14, in the national semifinals of the NCAA II Women's Tennis Championship.

HPU closes the season at 21-5 while AAU moves on to the national title game vs. BYU-Hawaii.

The Sea Warriors fell in each doubles match en route to the loss.

Zora Vlckova and Ingrid Cseh were beaten at first doubles 8-2, while the HPU duo of Aleksandra Stankovic and Sandra Wikstrom was defeated by Gabriella Kovacs and Sona Novakova 9-7 at second doubles.

At third doubles, Tinka Mihova and Nina Mihova were topped by Armstrong Atlantic pair Tina Ronel and Kathleen Henry 8-6.

Armstrong Atlantic captured the two and five singles matches to claim the victory. Muller-Wehlau topped Tinka Mihova 6-2, 6-0 at second singles, while Wikstrom suffered a 6-1, 6-4 defeat vs. Henry.

The remaining matches were left unfinished.
