For the first time in the history of the Pacific West Conference, two of its teams are ranked 1-2 in the NCAA II West Region poll.
The Top 8 teams will compete in the regional tournament starting Nov. 29 at a campus site (or sites) to be announced on Sunday night as well.
BYU-Hawaii clinched the PacWest Championship and its automatic berth in the NCAA II Tournament several weeks ago thanks to a perfect 16-0 conference mark.
The Seasiders are 21-3 overall and boast a perfect 20-0 in-region record.
Grand Canyon wrapped up its season in fourth place in the PacWest with an 11-5 conference mark and a 19-5 regional record.
The Antelopes are 23-5 overall and expect to receive a berth in the NCAAs.
The most recent regional ranking was posted on Monday, Nov. 12, after both the Seasiders and Antelopes concluded their regular seasons.
Although neither squad played this past week, other teams around the region did have contests scheduled in their respective conferences that could impact the final regional rankings and seeding for the West Region Championship Tournament.
