California Baptist's Ingrid Carmona earns PacWest Women’s Volleyball Player of Week honor
PHOENIX, Ariz. – California Baptist senior outside hitter Ingrid Carmona (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/Universidad APEC) has been selected the Pacific West Conference Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week.
The conference announced the honor on Monday, Nov. 12, for matches contested Nov. 5-11.
Carmona led the Lancers to a 2-0 week by averaging 5.83 points, 0.67 aces, 3.67 digs and 4.83 kills per set.
She ranked second in the PacWest in scoring for the week after totaling 35.0 points on 29 kills, four aces, a block solo and two block assists.
Carmona also ranked fourth in kill average, tied for third in aces per set, and ranked 13th in digs per set for the week in the conference.
She ranked ninth in hitting for the week in the conference, producing a .375 mark over six sets in leading the Lancers to a 2-0 week. She recorded her 29 kills on 64 attempts with just five errors.

Sophie Burns (Sr., 5-10, S, Valencia, CA/West Ranch - left photo) – Azusa Pacific – helped lead the Cougars to a 2-0 week by averaging 12.57 assists per set…ranked second in assist average in the PacWest for the week…totaled 88 in seven sets.
Ying Chun Chen (So., 5-7, S, Kaohsiung, Taiwan/Chung Shan - photo right & below) – BYU-Hawaii – helped the Seasiders to a 1-1 week by averaging 11.17 assists per set…accumulated 67 in six sets…lone loss came at Division I Hawai‘i.
Natalie Hamill (Sr., 5-7, S, Laguna Niguel, CA/Santa Margarita) – Point Loma – averaged 11.33 assists per set during a 1-1 week for the Sea Lions…totaled 102 assists over nine sets…ranked fifth in assist average for the week in the PacWest.
Caelen Hiller (Jr., 5-11, OH, Phoenix, AZ/Sunnyslope) - Grand Canyon – averaged 6.33 points, 5.33 kills and 1.00 aces per set for the week to lead the PacWest in each category…accumulated 19 points on 16 kills and three aces during lone match of the week – a 3-0 sweep of Dixie State on Nov. 10…also topped the PacWest in hitting for the week with a .536 mark…had 16 kills and one error on 28 attempts…averaged 3.33 digs per set to rank 19th for the week in the PacWest.
Rupia Inck (So., 6-1, OH, Uberaba, Brazil/Governador Campos) – Fresno Pacific – led Sunbirds to a 2-0 week by averaging 4.38 kills per set…ranked sixth in the PacWest for the week after totaling 35 in eight sets…also ranked sixth in scoring for the week in the conference…totaled 42.0 points on 35 kills, two aces, two block solos and six block assists…averaged 5.25 points per set…tied for 11th in blocks per set after posting 1.00 average.
Sari Kwan (Fr., 5-2, DS/L, Honolulu, HI/Punahou School) – Dominican – helped Penguins to a 1-2 week…ranked second for the week in digs per set with a 5.67 average…totaled 68 over 12 sets.
Jackie Landers (Jr., 5-11, OH, Torrance, CA/South) – Azusa Pacific – led Cougars to a 2-0 week by averaging 5.29 kills and 5.57 points per set…ranked second in kill average and third in scoring in the PacWest for the week…totaled 37 kills and 39 points for the week…had an ace and a pair of block assists in her point total.
Delaney McCraney (So., 6-1, RS, Huntington Beach, CA/Edison) – Point Loma - ranked fourth in scoring for the week in the PacWest…averaged 5.56 points per set while totaling 50 points in nine sets during a 1-1 week for the Sea Lions…amassed 44 kills, five aces and two block assists…ranked third in kills per set (4.89) for the week in the league…ranked sixth in aces per set (0.56) for the week in the PacWest.
Amanda Moriarty (Fr., 5-10, OH, Santa Barbara, CA/Doe Pueblos) – Hawai‘i Pacific – led Sea Warriors to a 3-1 win over Division I Cal State Bakersfield on Nov. 7 – lone match of the week for HPU…totaled 17.5 points on 16 kills, a block solo and a block assist…ranked eighth in scoring with a 4.38 per set average for the week…ranked seventh in the PacWest in kills per set for the week (4.00).
Malika O’Brien Fr., 6-1, MB, Rancho Cucamonga, CA/Alta Loma) – California Baptist – helped Lancers to a 2-0 record on the week by averaging 4.75 points, 3.67 kills and 1.50 blocks per set…tied for second in block average, tied for ninth in kills per set, and ranked seventh in scoring for the week in the PacWest…totaled 28.5 points over six sets on 22 kills, an ace, two block solos and seven block assists.
Kristen Preach (Sr., 5-10, S, Phoenix, AZ/Xavier Prep - left photo) – Grand Canyon – averaged 12.00 assists per set while hitting .364 during a 3-0 road sweep of Dixie State on Nov. 10…lone match of the week for the Antelopes…totaled 36 assists in the win…had 5 kills on 11 attempts with one error in the match…also averaged 0.67 aces per set, tying for third during the week in the PacWest.
Jordyn Siko (So., 5-10, S, Chino Hills, CA/Chino Hills) – California Baptist – helped Lancers to a 2-0 week by averaging 11.67 assists per set…ranked fourth in assist average for the week in the PacWest…totaled 70 assists during the week.
Rachael Smith (Fr., 5-10, S, Clovis, CA/Clovis) - Academy of Art – led the PacWest in assist average during a 1-1 week for the Urban Knights…had 52 assists in four sets for a 13.00 per-set mark…also ranked seventh in blocks per set (1.25) for the week in the league…had five total blocks on five block assists in four sets.
Ashley Vander Tuig (Fr., 6-2, MB, Tulare, CA/Central Valley Christian) – Azusa Pacific – helped the Cougars to a 2-0 week with a solid all-around performance…hit .381 to rank seventh in the PacWest for the week…had 19 kills and three errors in 42 attempts…tied for fourth in blocks per set (1.43) for the week in the league.
Becca Waller (Fr., 6-0, MB/OP, Fresno, CA/Clovis North) – Fresno Pacific – helped Sunbirds to a 2-0 week by hitting .478 over seven sets…ranked second in the PacWest in hitting for the week…posted 14 kills on 23 attempts with three errors.
