PHOENIX, AZ - California Baptist sophomore Ashlee Cervantes (Beaumont, CA/Beaumont) has been named the Pacific West Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.

The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Sept. 19, for races contested on Sept. 17.

Cervantes finished first among Lancer runners and 27th among runners from four-year schools at the 2011 UC Riverside XC Invitational.

She posted a time of 21:48.7 on the 6K course and helped lead California Baptist to a share of ninth place.
