BYU-Hawaii senior Lacey Krout selected PacWest Women’s Cross Country Runner of Week

Lacey Krout PHOENIX, AZ - BYU-Hawaii senior Lacey Krout (Preston, ID/Preston) has been named the Pacific West Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.

The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Sept. 26, for races contested on Sept. 24.

Krout captured the BYU-Hawaii Invitational after completing the 5K course in a time of 18:45. She helped lead the Seasiders to the team championship.

Katherine Buxton Mary Botsford - Hawai‘i Pacific (Jr., 5-6, Molalla, OR/Molalla)...claimed fifth overall and second among the Sea Warriors at the 2011 BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Sept. 24...turned in a time of 19:49 on the 5K course...helped Sea Warriors to take second place as a team.

Katherine Buxton - BYU-Hawaii (Sr., 5-4, Gettysburg, PA/Gettysburg)...finished second overall and second among Seasider entries at the 2011 BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Sept. 24...posted a time of 18:59 on the 5K course...helped Seasiders to a first-place team finish.

Veronica Camarillo - BYU-Hawaii (Fr., 5-4, San Juan Capistrano, CA/Dana Hills)...finished 13th overall and sixth among BYU-Hawaii entries at the 2011 BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Sept. 24...posted a time of 21:18 on the 5K course...Seasiders finished first as a team.

Katrina Kropushek - BYU-Hawaii (Fr., 5-5, Saratoga Springs, UT/Westlake)...was sixth overall and fourth among all Seasiders at the 2011 BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Sept. 24...checked in with a time of 19:53 on the 5K course...helped Seasiders to a first-place team finish.

Kim Kuhnert - Hawai‘i Pacific (Sr., 5-6, Leverkusen, Germany)...finished third overall and first among Sea Warriors runners at the 2011 BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Sept. 24...posted a time of 19:13 on the 5K course...helped Sea Warriors take second place as a team.

Kassie McGonical - BYU-Hawaii (Jr., 5-6, Eden, UT/Weber)...took fourth overall and third among BYU-Hawaii entries at the 2011 BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Sept. 24...recorded a time of 19:15 on the 5K course...helped Seasiders to a first-place team finish.

Megan Young Nadia Ramirez - Hawai‘i Hilo (Fr., 5-4, Hilo, HI/Hilo)...led Vulcans to a fourth-place finish at 2011 BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Sept. 24...checked in with a time of 20:57 on the 5K course...finished 11th overall and first among Vulcan runners.

Kelsey Royer - BYU-Hawaii (Jr., 5-0, Lancaster, CA/Quartz Hill)...finished eighth overall and fifth among Seasider runners at the 2011 BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Sept. 24...checked in with a time of 20:14 on the 5K course...helped Seasiders to a first-place team finish.

Shannon White - Hawai‘i Pacific (Fr., 5-6, Haleiwa, HI/Santa Catalina)...crossed the finish line seventh overall and third among Sea Warrior runners at the 2011 BYU-Hawaii Invitational on Sept. 24...posted a time of 20:08 on the 5K course...helped HPU take second place as a team.

Megan Young - Grand Canyon (Jr., 5-7, Glendale, AZ/Cactus)...clocked in with a time of 23:35.908 at the Runners Soul Erik Anderson Cross Country Invitational on Sept. 24 in Spokane, WA...course was a 6K...finished first among Antelope entries and 67th among runners from all four-year institutions...GCU finished 19th as a team in the event.
