Dixie State junior Rachel Young earns 3rd PacWest Women’s XC Runner of Week award
PHOENIX, AZ - Dixie State junior Rachel Young
(Holliday, UT/Olympus) has been named the Pacific
West Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for
the third time this season.
The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Oct. 3, for races contested on Oct. 1.
Young finished third out of 55 runners from four-year schools at the UNLV Desert Invitational in Las Vegas, NV.
With the exception of Dixie State, the field consisted of entirely NCAA Division I teams.
Young posted a time of 18:33 on the 5K course.

CA/Corona)...took 39th overall and fourth among CBU
entries at 37th Charles Bowles Invitational on Oct. 1...event was

Robyn Arnold - California Baptist (Fr., 5-4, Redlands, CA/Redlands)...placed 69th overall and sixth among all Lancer runners at the 37th Charles Bowles Invitational on Oct. 1...event was hosted by Willamette University in Salem, OR...completed 5K course in a time of 18:11.03...CBU placed fifth out of 16 teams.
Bethany Bilton - California Baptist (Fr., 5-6, Murrieta, CA/Murrieta Valley)...was 29th overall and second among Lancer runners at the 37th Charles Bowles Invitational on Oct. 1...event was hosted by Willamette University in Salem, OR...covered the 5K course in a time of 18:36.50...CBU placed fifth out of 16 teams.
Kimberly Carter - California Baptist (So., 5-2, Redlands, CA/Arrowhead Christian)...finished 74th overall and seventh among Lancer runners at the 37th Charles Bowles Invitational on Oct. 1...event was hosted by Willamette University in Salem, OR...clocked in at 19:16.36 on the 5K course...CBU placed fifth out of 16 teams.
